Two hundred and four

We made it to Whistler!  After our beautiful campground in the hills past Kamloops overlooking a river with jumping fish, and an amazing drive through the mountains, we made it to our last stop of our journey across central and western Canada.  The bike is still in need of repair, but there is hope.  Tomorrow I leave Drew and head to Gibsons, BC to visit some friends, then on to Vancouver.  I am so happy I had the chance to drive across our beautiful country.  Seeing the changes of the landscape is something every Canadian should do once in their life.

For my first kiss story today, Kate warned me first that it wasn’t romantic.  Originally from Ontario, Kate now calls Whistler her home.  “I was in grade seven or eight.  Dan was the hot guy in grade eight that everyone wanted to date.  We were in my basement.  There was one of those L-shaped couches in there.  I was on the one side, my best friend Sarah was on the other side and Dan was in the middle.  We were watching Liar Liar.  He started snuggling up to me and kissing me.  I didn’t know what to do.  Then a few minutes later I looked over and he was snuggling up to Sarah.  Then he started kissing her!  Afterwards something supernatural happened, if you believe in that.  We were both angry.  Then the lamp in the basement exploded.”
