Happy Valentine’s Day

I’m not much of a fan of Valentine’s Day – the whole argument about how it’s only a holiday created so we spend more money on stuff we don’t need and why do you need a day to remind you to tell the people you love how you feel anyways?  Shouldn’t you do that all the time?

But there is something to be said about a holiday where you get to eat lots of chocolate.  And in a city where there are lots of single people, it is often a good excuse to get a bunch of people together to eat, drink and be merry.

My friend might kill me for putting up this second photo, but there’s something about new relationships that capture the pure essence of what this holiday should be about.
